James Savident

James was born and raised in Guernsey and has always felt drawn to a career in funeral care. He joined Coop Funeral Care by Argent in 2024 as a Funeral Director's Assistant and, through his dedication, professionalism and compassionate approach, was soon promoted to Funeral Director. He is currently working towards the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) Funeral Arrangement and Administration Certificate.

Before joining the profession, James worked as a Domestic Compliance Investigator and as a Prison Officer, roles that developed his calm, empathetic approach and ability to support people through challenging circumstances. His commitment to outstanding customer care was recognised when he became a finalist in the Guernsey Customer Service Awards.

James considers it a privilege to support families at one of the most difficult times in their lives. He believes every funeral should be as unique as the person being remembered and takes great care in helping families create a meaningful farewell that truly reflects their loved one's life.
