Daniel Ormrod

Assistant Principal Funeral Director

Daniel's passion for funeral care began at the age of eleven after conversations with his uncle, who worked in the profession. From that moment, he knew he wanted to support bereaved families and care for those who had died.

After leaving school, Daniel gained qualifications in Plumbing and Heating Engineering before serving as a Prison Officer for five years. In 2013, he fulfilled his ambition by joining the funeral profession as a Funeral Operative, progressing to Trainee Funeral Director in 2015 and later qualifying in both Funeral Arranging and Administration and Funeral Directing. Today, he is Assistant Principal Funeral Director.

Throughout his career, Daniel has been recognised for his dedication to exceptional client care, reaching the finals of the Pride of Guernsey and Customer Service Awards on three occasions.

For Daniel, funeral care has always been more than a career—it is a calling. He believes every life is unique and considers it a privilege to help families create a personal and meaningful farewell that truly honours the life of their loved one.
